A humidly selected team, Cpl Fay, L/Cpl Young and Pte Taggart, left London an hour late for Warcop but with Jimmy Glen driving, this was soon made up. Saturday morning was a practice short, which was just as well as Cpl Fay had forgotten most of the drills from last year. The practice short continued after lunch and the shooting improved dramatically. We managed to come 4th out of 5 teams with a little help from some well-wishers - without whose help we would have come third.

James Glen's driving hadn't improved and we had barely closed our eyes when we were back at Wenlock Street.

After all our efforts the Competition Proper was cancelled.
