TOS Types
Summer 1986

No 1 - The Guardsman:

Betrays a subconscious desire to hide from the world (a favourite with 7 Platoon members).

And me! - Webmaster

No 2 - The "Other" Guardsman:

No comment (PS Corporal Orpwood also favours this style)

Maj Scott-Barrett and Capt Rankin-Hunt if I am not mistaken - Webmaster

No 3 - The "I'll make it look like a Bloody Beret if it kills me":

(Sole advocate - Mr Ludlow)

No 4 - The "Recce":

"Mine's under the seat and the Battalion 2IC isn't on the weekend anyway"

No 5 - The Scone:

Pipers and Recruits only at present, but some exponents believe a comeback is due (very likely, after a thunderstorm).

No 6 - The "Mannequin":

Skintight lightweights and a steam pressed pullover are a must if the full effect is desired.  Parts company with owner after a properly executed "eyes front".

Les Phelps unless I am mistaken - Webmaster

No 7 - "Harry Lauder":

As seen in the Regimental Museum (and on Captain Pearson).  A 2 metre danger area for troops in the open.

No 8 - The "Wedge" (or the Brie):

A Kirk Douglas chin helps with this model.  Sergeant Fay is the only successful wearer of this variant.
