Thank you all of those who attended the G Dinner last Friday. We had 85 members attending. Thanks also to those who were unable to attend and sent apologies and money for the beer fund. It was much appreciated. We had 3 barrels of real ale (Young's, Brakespears and the Arundle brewery Will Church Strong Ale).
After a very spirited and totally incoherent "address to the haggis", by John Spoore, a splendid time was had by all.
The raffle raised £323.50 (split between the Children's Party and G Coy Assoc.) and the whip round for Steve Fay who is running the London Marathon for the New York fire fighters fun £150 approx.) Thanks to all those who contributed.
Leave any comments or suggestions on how we can improve the dinner next year on the guestbook on the website. It has already been suggested that an organised sing song be arranged and that we supply some decent bottles of continental lager (damn right - Steve H!). Watch this space.
The Dinner next year will take place on Friday 28th February 2003. Hope to see you all then.
