Lt David Rankin-Hunt

David Rankin-HuntWE welcome Lt David Rankin-Hunt, who joined us as a Pltn Cmdr in December last year. He is experienced in both Territorial and Regular service, which spans some seven years.

He joined the TA in April, 1975, enlisting into the Royal Regiment of Wales at Cardiff and was commissioned in January, 1978. In May, 1979 he transferred to the Regular Army, and served a Short Service Commission in the Scots Guards, which included public duties at Chelsea, a tour of duty in Northern Ireland, as well as exercises in Germany, in the UK, and in Kenya. He returned to the TA in August, 198 1, and after serving briefly as a Coy 21C back in Cardiff, he moved to London late last year and transferred to 'G' Coy.

In civilian life he is employed as Assistant Registrar in the Lord Chamberlain's Office, engaged in organising Court ceremonial, State visits, Royal funerals, and Investitures.

His experience in regimental soldiering, as well as 'Pomp and Circumstance', will be of great value to the Coy.
